Welcome to the Federation of Energy Reduction Aggregators which we are delighted to refer to as FERA.

Our members are committed in continuing to support the efficient, effective and reliable operation of the Electricity System throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland, as they have been since 2010. The typical member of FERA is an independent minded agile aggregator, with an emphasis on novel technologies and innovative energy market strategies designed to accelerate progress toward green energy goals. Areas of members’ current interest include domestic demand side management, battery technology, and hydrogen potential, as well as how well-designed aggregation may spark life into otherwise slow-moving energy development.

FERA’s goal is to actively promote creative solutions in an orderly and stable market framework, operating on prudent principles to ensure system stability and security. Our contribution to SEM market development generally and to the TSOs and RAs thinking in particular, is to play a constructive role in a complex and changing environment, developing enduring solutions that facilitate the introduction of effective processes and policies that benefit all participants within the Electricity Industry of Ireland.
